THIS HAT IS STUNNING!
Sharp as Texas Obsidian—
Crisp as a Honeycrisp Apple—
Clean as Texas Artesian Aquifer—
Poised like a Texas Western Diamondback—
The material is stiff to hold its shape // as if standing at the position of attention.
The flag is smooth & flush against the crown // like a Board of Ribbons pressing against a Highly Decorated Uniform.
The Velcro Clasp is unique and appealing.
I absolutely luv the arrest loops on the sides//aiding in the retention of my shades.
Absolutely littered with vent ports.
THEN!!!
There is what I see in the picture///then there is what I’m holding in my hands.
Impeccable craftsmanship.
The features & appearance are above & beyond.
I never get what I see in the computer images.
HOWEVER!!!
WHAT YOU SEE IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET.
I am mesmerized by the hat alone. But I’m blown completely away at what I received.

ONE HUGE PROBLEM THO!!!!!!

Alter Ego has this hat in {Standard} or {Large (which is not available at moment)}
I ordered Standard. It is too large for my head.
The Velcro drawn all the way tight//still too big. And even if I did cinch it up all the way—I would look like Elmer Fudd with a hat that was way too big for my head. I would literally look like Elmer Fudd wearing it.

I am a size 7-1/8. {{{100% Positive!}}}
I use to rodeo in the 80’s & 90’s, and I’ve worn hats my whole life. Cowboy hat’s / ball caps / beret’s / etc. 7-1/8 all the way // always.
Size Guide says range is (6-7/8 to 7-1/2 for Standard.)
BUT IT DOES NOT FIT ME!!!
I BEG OF YOU / PRETTY PLEASE—MAKE THIS IN SMALL.
I am absolutely man//shattered that I am unable to wear this Saturday.

I love Alter Ego hats and this one is no exception. It fits well like the others and the XL is great for big heads. Still 5 stars, but it would be great if they removed the orange tag and the reflective logos from the “tactical” collection.

Most expensive hat ive ever bought but i love it and will be buying more

Weird thinking about a hat as an investment, but at $79 it kind of is. I am an avid hiker and burn through hats weekly in the hot Texas sun.

The idea was buy a indestructible hat to prevent that and the Tactical Alter Ego Cruiser is just that. Worn it 3x for a total of 8 hours and it looks like it has never been worn. I did remove the elastic pen/pencil loops on the left side and ordered a few different morale patches to change up the look. Bottom line, very pleased.
