Return & Exchange Eligibility
- Please place your return or exchange within 30 days from the date your order is placed at alteregorunning.com. All items must be in new, unused condition with the original tags and packaging.
- Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
- Products must be returned in packaging that maintains the integrity of the product; products damaged due to poor packaging will not be refunded.
- We’ll take care of getting the package back to us, but shipping fees aren’t refunded on the original order.
Return & Exchange Process
- Self-Service Returns: Start your return by visiting our returns portal. Follow the instructions provided for a quick and easy return process.
- Ship the Item: Once approved, return the item as instructed. Products must be returned in packaging that maintains the integrity of the product; products damaged due to poor packaging will not be refunded.
- Inspection: Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
- Exchanges: Once we receive your returned item, we will send your exchange item.
- Refund Processing: Approved refunds will automatically be applied to your original payment method within a few days.
If you return an item for a refund and haven't received a refund yet:
- Please wait 5 business days after your return is delivered.
- Check your bank account.
- Contact your credit card company (it may take time before your refund is officially posted).
International and custom orders are final sale.

We do make custom hats! We have a minimum order of 100 hats. If you would still like to proceed, you can email custom@alteregorunning.com for more information!
Alter Ego Running hats are simple and easy to clean and maintain. After sweating in your hat, thoroughly hand rinse it in cold or warm (e.g. - run it under a faucet or hose) and hang dry. Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as these can damage the materials. Do not use a washing machine. Following these instructions will help your hat stay in good condition.
